Hey! Don't I know you from somewhere?

If I look familiar, it just might be because I used to blog somewhat regularly over here. As it happens, a busy, busy life took over for a while. I sure didn't mean for the blog to take so long of a nap there, but it really couldn't be avoided. Work is good, the New Politics show was SOOOOOOO GOOOOOODDDD (and I still haven't started my review yet, but perhaps it will be done soon). I've gotten way behind on my tv-watching, but on the flip side I will get a bigger paycheck next time around. And I am slowly getting my feet wet again in the health/fitness waters. I look forward to spring and more outdoor workouts!

In the meantime, it's still winter. Ick. But I was outside yesterday, and it really seemed like spring is in the air. It was warmer, but still quite chilly. But it smelled like spring outside, and that's what's important.

Also? It's Monday, and that means music! This is the latest from a band on my "Bucket List of Bands to See," Avenged Sevenfold with "Shepherd of Fire." I like the song a lot, but this video? Looks like it came straight out of one of my dreams (minus the hot guys). And I wonder why I never feel rested!

    1. Thank you, Marie! I am just glad for a bit of "normal" me time (in other words, not rushed, and not downtime spent recovering from lots of work/travel/etc!), and hope I can fit in as much of it as possible in the near future!

  3. Life gets busy. That's just the way things go. Unless Blogging is your livelihood then everyone expects blog naps from time-to-time. The beauty is that when you do return then your loyal readers will be waiting for you. I have heard of the Avenged Sevenfold, but this is a new-to-me song, though. It's just a wee bit like metal music. I like the music, but with all metal type sounds I can only listen to it in small measure. Am I too old? Nah, I just have different music preferences. lol Thanks for dancing with us, Kim!

    1. Unfortunately, blogging is not my livelihood. I kind of wish it was, but .... it's still not. I am happy that not everyone has forgotten me in my unintended absence :)

This selection is definitely metal. Rap/Hip-Hop is music I can only take in small doses, so I understand where you're coming from. It takes all kinds, though....my kind and your kind and his kind and her kind.....I try to find what speaks to me, or at least makes me want to move, in all of it.

  4. Hi Kim, I never heard of Avenged Sevenfold - but then again I'm not into heavy metal. But what an interesting video - yikes! I'm glad I don't dream much. Hope you have a great week!

    1. I can't imagine not dreaming as much as I do.....on one hand, it would be nice to not be exhausted/upset so much due to disturbing dreams. But when I dream pleasant or funny or trippy things, I'm glad for the distraction from everyday life.

You have a great week, too!

    1. Noon? You are living dangerously! I have forgotten what that is like, too. My mostly-days schedule is finally starting to wear on me, and i'm usually asleep by 1AM on my "nights off" and up by 9 or 10 the next morning. Usually.
