That pic over on the left? (Which I actually saw on another blogger's page today and had to go do a search for it so I could have it for myself - and now I can't find that blog so I can do a proper shout-out) Really says it all. This can be evidenced in the hornet's nest I stirred up with the first of this month's Battle of the Bands installments. I knew I'd eventually find some covers basically only I like, haha! (Feel free to go give any of the covers a listen and vote, if you have the time/inclination.)
So...did ya notice my new look? Yep - I decided Super Bowl Sunday was a good time to start spring cleaning on the blog and the gray damask background was the first thing to go. I'm more into the Moroccan Tile silhouettes these days, and thought the extra pop of aqua gave my blog a fresh new look in anticipation of the coming spring. Next up? The blogroll. Then the categories...I'm working on getting the main categories their own pages and links across the top, and one of the categories may become its own "blog" at some point. I have so much to do!
Okay...getting right down to it, today is #MusicMonday, and the theme over at Dolly's Monday's Music Moves Me is "Duets", as suggested by Becca from Everyday Life. As it happens, I definitely had a duet in mind this week. One of my favorite tv shows, Parenthood, had its bittersweet series finale this past Thursday. As some of you already know, Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" was the show's theme. But a duet and cover version rolled at the end of the finale, and it is beautiful. Each artist has an amazing voice on his or her own, but the harmonizing is nothing short of divine:
Rhiannon Giddens and Iron & Wine - "Forever Young"
Happy Monday! For more Music Monday, head to Dolly's. And if you have a favorite duet, why not participate by submitting it to the linkup?

Hmmm, oh well...thanks for the intro. I will have to go in search of this song title to see what other choices might jingle the bell in my mind. lol Have a tunetastic day!
