The perfect way to spend a spring afternoon

This is a photo I recently took when the weather first started getting really nice. (I've already Facebooked and Instagrammed it, so it may look familiar to regular readers already.) It was an amazing day - I had the day off work and was able to sit on my back porch to read my Flea Market Style magazine while enjoying some light lemonade in one of my newest thrifted treasures, one of my Mid-Mod Federal Glass roly-polys in Black Diamond. And I always have a favorite pair of cateye sunglasses to keep the sun's rays out of my eyes!

What are some of your favorite ways to spend a warm spring afternoon?

  1. Looks like a wonderful afternoon. We've been having warm spring weather here, too. I love to walk around the city, check out food and art, and take photos.

Glad I had the chance to stop by again after a while - come visit, too http://www.catsynth.com :)

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by! I didn't catch your url on the site (even though I know it be there), so I am glad I can catch up with you again now. It's been a while!

And yes, that was one of my best afternoons - the first really warm one we'd had after SO MUCH cold. I didn't think winter would ever end - and we don't even get a "real" winter.

  2. A lovely day to ease up and relax, catch up with the latest trends. Summer is what we have here now, and too hot for much work but ahh, that is me.. getting the opportunity to decorate the house, work in the garden and plan a few small projects. It's my time alone to do what I want this summer, coz my boys are off from school and a big help around the house. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy WW!

    1. We are approaching summer here, but it's still not overly warm yet. I think this is the latest spring we've ever had!

I hope you'll be posting pics of your house decorating and projects!

  3. I'm jealous! We haven't had any luck with the weather here. Our patio furniture is still in hiding!
That's my favourite way to spend a spring day too. A good book :)
Enjoy that gorgeous weather for me!

    1. I agree, a good book is always a good way to spend any day :) Sorry to hear your weather isn't cooperating with you to get that patio furniture out, but hopefully it happens soon!

My gorgeous weather is gone. I can't recall a time in my life when it's been this cool this late in the year in my part of the country. Strange.

  5. I am so longing for that kind of weather t show up yet this year. I think all the rain we've had will help the lower ground water levels... it has already been trying to seep through my lower level floor, yikes!
thanks so much for stopping by & next time don't forget to leave a link up to your post for new visitors to find! Faythe @GMT~

    1. Thank you for coming by, Faythe! I hope the rain and groundwater will spare your floors....I can't imagine what a pain and expense it must be to repair that kind of damage.

  6. i'm in SC so the weather is at that point where it's 80 one day then 60 another. When it's the prior I'm always out in the sun!

    1. We've been having a week of that. The season changes in the south are always so ADD, but it really is usually warmer here by this time of year. I'm scared!

    1. The sunglasses were a Target find - do you have a Target store nearby yet?

Instagram and FB always get my stuff first, because it's so easy to upload at those places (well, uploading at FB is debatable, but still).

Don't be too jealous. It is cloudy and 66 right now.
