The music that moves me today

Over the weekend, I got a most important and exciting text from Spank telling me that Thirty Seconds To Mars will be in Atlanta on September 27, with tickets going on sale THIS WEEK!!!! As you can tell, I am pretty ecstatic about this. This concert announcement is just one of the many amazing things to come from July 2013. And the concert itself is eleven days after my birthday, so I am excited to be able to celebrate it with some Atlanta area friends and this band.

Obviously, Thirty Seconds To Mars is moving me this week.

Here's another one from their latest, LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS, "City of Angels." It's beautiful.

What music has you moving this week?

Music Monday:

X-Mas Dolly
Run DMT
Be There 2Day
My So-Called Chaos

  1. First time hearing this I liked it, it reminds me of something else but can't put my finger on it.

  7. You know, I 30Seconds has come a long way. When I first heard the band years ago, I didn't like it and I thought "great, another actor trying to sing and become a Rock Star" BUT, I like them much more in the last couple of years. They've really grown.

    1. I agree...they've grown, and the sound has changed as a result. I really, REALLY like the older stuff, but for the longest time, I only listened to the two or three songs my son had on his iPod. I knew Jared had a band, and I never made an effort to listen. But I'd hear some of their songs when my son would play his music, and I asked him who it was. LOL, my son actually turned me on to their music (I try to avoid actors trying to be rock stars, too. I will always listen to any music Jared makes, and I will also always listen to any music Jackson Rathbone makes. Any others I am really unsure about.)

    2. Jeremy Renner has an amazing voice. but he has only sang in a couple of movies - plus he did on SNL. I really really wish he'd put out some music!

    3. I will keep that in mind, Leslie! I love how you can bring Jeremy Renner into any type of conversation, hehe!

    1. I hear ya! Several of the fans I'm friends with (and I) all noticed this album has a much more digital sound than the previous ones. Their sound always changes a bit with each record, but never so much that you can't tell it's them.

    1. I definitely plan on having a blast there! Just now saw your comment about the video not playing. It wasn't an official video, so I guess the band made them take it down. Maybe it will get its own official, promotable video one of these days!
