January 2013 daisy

Back in 2010 when I had to retire my beloved 15 year old Mustang, I bought a 2002 New Beetle. One of my favorite things about my bug, Bibi, is the dashboard bud vase. Beginning last year I replaced the daisy every month, and I never gave much thought to trying to document it. This year? I am!

Without further ado, here's January 2013's daisy:

  1. Oh, I'm going to like this! Daisies are my daughter's favourite flower. That's such a neat idea! I keep my car very clean, so I imagine that you do also. :)

    1. I like my car nice and clean, but it could use a thorough detailing! Maybe in the spring; there is no way I'll be braving the cold to do it.

I like daisies a lot, too. Last year and the half year I had the car before, I just used whatever flower, but I've decided on daisies only for this year! The challenge will be finding unique daisies for all twelve months. I have two or three I like so much I'll probably re-use as well.

    1. They are one of my favorites as well! I'm kind of bummed that the new New Beetles no longer have a bud vase (I guess they were trying to market the car to more men). But then again, I hopefully won't be in the market for another car for quite a few more years yet!

    1. LOL....well, fresh flowers probably wouldn't last too long in a car, but I do adore the cheap ones from Hobby Lobby :)

      Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I've seen those bud vases and always wondered - how long do the flowers actually last when it's really hot or really cold?

    1. I've only put real flowers in my vase once, when a friend's kids picked me some from their yard when i visited. They didn't last very long (wilted before the 3+ hour drive home from Atlanta). But I always use fakes from Hobby Lobby for "everyday" purposes.
